STORY: Carlos De La Fuente had to close ABC Party Headquarters in Dallas in March because of the state’s COVID19 shutdown. He had to lay off two of his workers, and he was losing money. When the Governor said businesses could open May 1 at 25 percent capacity, De La Fuente decided to bring back his employees. He also thought a coronavirus piñata was the right medicine for those who wanted to let out their frustrations. The big green piñata is sold out every day, but the party store owners say it was the financial boost they needed.
